Media 101 For Our Future
Fall 2023 and Spring 2024, we will provide an educational program, "Media 101 For Our Future". Our goal is to expose students to the option of a career in Multi-Media. It includes a field trip to local radio station, Live 97.5 FM in Salisbury, MD. It is available for students, 5th grade through 12th grade. We also welcome youth community organizations and programs. Session I will be October and November. Session II will be March, April and May. Students will learn what happens behind the scenes, which include formatting a radio show, show prep, writing scripts, producing commercials, sales, building relationships with record labels, building social media presence, selecting music, writing news articles/press releases, podcasting, deejaying and more. To cap off the experience, students will go LIVE on air! Each student will receive a booklet of information and resources shared during the visit, a "Media 101 For Our Future" t-shirt, hat and water bottle.
"Media 101 For Our Future" is mobile as well. We'll visit your school, community organization and/or event to share information regarding a career option in multimedia. It's an exciting, fast moving, ever growing career, with a vast amount of opportunity. We're interactive and fun! Invite us out at your opportunity.
